If you apply for a short stay visa C (up to 90 days) for Belgium or Luxemburg, please note that Belgium has a representation agreement with the Netherlands. The visa applications are processed by the Benelux Visa Centre (VFS Global), under the responsibility of the Netherlands.
The representation agreement for visa only concerns Schengen visa applications for following travel destinations:
- Tourist visits
- Visits to family or friends
- Cultural or sports manifestations
- Business / professional trips
- Short training / education
- Transit through the Schengen area
- Official government visit

When?
A visa application can be presented starting from maximum 6 months prior to intended departure date and should be presented minimum 3 weeks before the intended departure date.
